Jay Cutler was arrested in Tennessee for drunk driving and weapons possession

Jay Cutler was arrested Thursday evening in Franklin, Tennessee, on charges of drunk driving and weapons possession.

The former NFL quarterback, who was married to reality star Kristin Cavallari, was also arrested for failure to exercise due diligence and violating the implied consent law.

Cutler, 41, was booked into the Williamson County Jail.

He posted $5,000 bail and was released later that night, a Franklin Police Department representative told TMZ Sports.

Further details surrounding Cutler's arrest are unclear at this time.

Cutler and Cavallari, who married in 2013, announced their separation in 2020 and finalized their divorce two years later.

They have three children: sons Camden, 11, and Jaxon, 9, and 8-year-old daughter Saylor.

Cutler and his current girlfriend Samantha Robertson made their relationship public in September 2023.

Cutler was originally selected by the Broncos out of Vanderbilt with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and spent most of his 12 NFL seasons with the Bears.

He made the Pro Bowl in his third and final season with Denver in 2008.

Cutler, who most recently played for the Dolphins, retired from the NFL and took a job as a broadcaster at Fox Sports in May 2017.

He also hosted the podcast “Uncut with Jay Cutler.”
