Kamala Harris is having trouble sleeping because of the election

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke about the personal toll the upcoming election is taking on her, admitting that the stakes are so high that she's losing sleep.

Speaking to Howard Stern on his radio show Tuesday as part of her ongoing media campaign, Harris said the outcome of the presidential election will have far-reaching consequences for the future of the country, citing risks to democracy, national security and basic needs American.

“I'm literally losing sleep thinking about what's at stake in this election,” the vice president said.

During the interview, Stern asked Harris whether she would feel safe or even stay in the country if former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, “God forbid,” won the election.

In response, Harris said she was doing “everything I can to make sure (Trump) doesn't win the election.” She pointed to the dangerous path the country could take if Trump is re-elected.

“This is an election about strength and weakness,” Harris said, warning that Trump’s leadership, particularly his admiration for authoritarian figures, would weaken America’s position at home and abroad.

In response to Stern's question about whether he would feel safe if Trump took back the White House, Harris continued: “We're building a coalition of Republicans, independents, Democrats and libertarians – people from all walks of life – coming together to say it “This election is about taking power in the country.” before the party.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was mentioned several times in the interview. Harris said she was concerned that Trump's return to the presidency would further undermine trust in American democracy and weaken U.S. alliances around the world.

The vice president said: “The question here is: Do we want a president who will uphold his oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, or someone who is constantly flattered by Russia's Vladimir Putin?”

“He admires strong men and lets them play him,” Harris added of Trump.

Stern asked Harris about topics like Prince to her husband Doug Emhoff about the F1 race Teacher. Harris focused heavily on Trump and his “desire to be a dictator.”

Harris' interview with Stern comes as she shifts from her previous strategy to a full-scale media assault. She and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will conduct several interviews with major media outlets in the coming weeks.

The change in strategy comes after encouraging recent news New York timeThe s/Siena College poll shows the race between Harris and Trump remains extremely close. Harris has a narrow lead of just three percentage points over Trump.

The poll, conducted between September 29 and October 6, shows Harris at 47 percent, while the former president had 44 percent. The poll surveyed 3,385 likely voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.4 points.
