Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt injury report: Cats may be without Maxwell Hairston and Terhyon Nichols

Saturday night's matchup between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Vanderbilt Commodores is getting closer and closer as both teams look to add another win to their season tally.

Vandy is coming off by far its biggest win of the college football season after defeating Alabama in Nashville last Saturday, while Kentucky is also coming off a top-10 road win over Ole Miss.

Both programs are confident heading into Saturday night's game, but the initial injury report suggests the Cats may be a little short-handed come kickoff.

After missing the match in Oxford, Maxwell Hairston was listed as out on the initial injury report. Chip Trayanum is also expected to be released this weekend.

With several names listed as likely, including Hardley Gilmore and Courtland Ford, the biggest name the Cats will likely hope to have on the field is true freshman Terhyon Nichols.

After an impressive performance against Ole Miss, the talented cornerback could be needed for depth against the Commodores. However, he is currently listed as questionable, so there is a good chance he will miss this week.

We'll have to keep an eye on this week, folks.
