Kevin Harvick predicts the winner in Las Vegas at the start of the eighth round of the NASCAR playoffs

Kevin Harvick makes his prediction for this weekend's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which opens the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Cup Series.

While Harvick doesn't necessarily get on each other's nerves, he rocks with the Hendrick Motorsports star Kyle Larsonit's nearly impossible to beat the No. 5 Chevrolet right now. Las Vegas has been one of Larson's best tracks in the Cup Series, as he has won the last two races at Sin City and a third straight win would lock him into the Championship 4.

“It’s hard to compete against Kyle Larson,” Harvick explained via Harvick's Happy Hour. “He won the first race there and dominated last week, so I’ll stick with Kyle Larson and Cliff Daniels training when they head back to Las Vegas.”

There is no argument from Harvick's co-host Kaitlyn Vincie on the ballot as she also rides with Larson to secure a shot at his second Cup Series title in Phoenix later this season.

“I wrote that down too,” Vincie revealed. “Don’t be mad, I know you hate it when I choose who you choose, but sometimes great minds think alike. I mean, it’s not like we’re getting on each other’s nerves, but I have to look back at two consecutive wins from Kyle Larson in Las Vegas.”

What Mamba SmithHe tried to be at least a little different and chose Christopher Bell by Joe Gibbs Racing to turn Larson on his head and beat the beat in Las Vegas.

“I’m going to go with C-Bell,” Smith added. “I’m going with Christopher Bell. I think he has two or three poles here. It seems like every time we go to Las Vegas, he either – he starts in the front row. So C-Bell in Victory Lane.”

Over the course of his Cup Series tenure, Bell has had some inconsistent performances on the track. He finished 33rd earlier this spring, but came close to winning last fall when he finished second to Larson. He will look to break through with a win on the track on Sunday, as Smith predicted.

Time will tell who wins in Sin City, but the South Point 400 is sure to bring plenty of drama as the NASCAR Cup Series' best compete. Kyle Larson is the prohibitive favorite and Kevin Harvick's pick. He'll be hard to beat, that's for sure.
