Yesterday's weather pattern brought a weekend with significantly above-average temperatures. Lubbock's high yesterday, Sunday, was 12 degrees above the date's average and just three degrees below the date's record high (94° in 1931 and tied with the date in 1939).

This evening it will be clear again and there will be some cold weather. Temperatures will fall back into the 50s across most, if not all, of the viewing area. The wind remains weak.
