LPGA leaderboard today 2024 Kroger Queen City Championship

Maineville, OHIO – The LPGA is back in the Greater Cincinnati area for the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G at TPC River's Bend. Defending champion Minjee Lee and other top players in the world will compete for $2 million in prize money, including world No. 1 Nelly Korda.

Korda and others return to the tour a week after Team USA won the Solheim Cup.

Jeeno Thitikul birdied three of her final four holes on Friday to move to -12 and secure the top spot on the leaderboard.

World number one Nelly Korda suffered her first bogey of the tournament on Friday on the par-3 12th hole. She finished the back 9 with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole, reaching an even 36 strokes. She is still 5 under par in the tournament, with the front 9 still to be played.

Jeeno Thitikul earned her first LPGA Tour victory at the Dow Championship in June and is now gearing up for the title at Kroger Queen City. Thitikul started Friday on the back nine holes and shot nine bogey-free holes with four birdies. She is now 10 under par for the tournament and needs to shoot at least 2 under par on the front nine to be the sole leader after 36 holes.

After shooting an opening round 78 with seven bogeys on Thursday, Danielle Kang's comeback attempt on Friday has been impressive so far, recording three birdies and five pars through eight holes. She is currently 3 over par.

Yuka Saso and Hyo Joon Jang were in lockstep for two days in Maineville. Both golfers shot 1 over par (73) on Thursday and were brilliant in the second round on Friday with 7 under par (65). They are in 14th place in the tournament at 6 under par.

Jeeno Thitikul was in second place on Thursday and could take the lead after 36 holes. So far on Friday, Thitikul has found all four fairways and hit all five greens in regulation time. She has two birdies and is 8 under par, just three shots behind the leader with 13 holes to go.

Eleven-time LPGA Tour winner Lexi Thompson didn't give up without a fight. After shooting three over par on the first nine holes on Friday, Thompson played bogey-free golf on the second nine, including four birdies on the final five holes. With back-to-back 71s, Thompson is two under par and one under the projected cut line.

After a bogey-free 67 to open the Kroger Queen City Championship, world number one Nelly Korda suffered her first bogey on the par-3 12th hole on Friday afternoon. Korda got off to a slow start and missed the green twice on her first four holes in regulation time.

Maria Fassi had an incredible run on Friday to move into a tie for third place. The 26-year-old recovered from back-to-back bogeys to start the morning to make birdies on seven of her final 11 holes to move to 9 under par for the tournament.

Yealimi Noh is also at 9 under par after her 67 on Friday. She hit 13 of 14 fairways and her strong iron play helped her hit 17 of 18 greens in regulation time. Noh and Fassi are tied for third place with Gabby Lopez.

Ashleigh Buhai, who was the clubhouse leader after 18 holes, was eliminated in the second round. Buhai found the fairway on No. 10 and hit a par putt to start the round.

Haeran Ryu had the best round (65) of any female golfer on Friday in Maineville. Ryu's 7 under par put her in sole second place. Ryu had six birdies and an eagle after 11 holes and shot pars on the final seven holes. She missed a birdie putt on the par-5 18th that would have given her a share of the lead.

With 11 strokes under par, Lydia Ko is the current clubhouse leader. Thursday's 67 was followed on Friday by a 66 with four birdies and an eagle. Ko managed 17 of 18 greens in regulation time and has not yet made a bogey after 36 holes.

World number one Nelly Korda began the second round with two pars on the 10th and 11th holes. She is 5 strokes under par in the tournament.

Charley Hull shot a 70 for the second year in a row. She is 4 under par and currently in 23rd place.

Maria Fassi has made just 5 of 16 cuts this season, but the 26-year-old has birdied five of her last seven holes to move her to 7-under par for the tournament. She began the day with back-to-back bogeys.

Clinton-Massie University graduate Gabby Woods is 10 shots off the cut line in her LPGA debut, but has settled in well after a rocky start on Friday that included a triple and a double bogey. Woods has a birdie and four pars on the final five holes.

Madelene Sagstrom finished in the top 15 at last year's Kroger Queen City Championship and could be on her way to another strong performance. Sagstrom, who earned a WDC in her last event in August, shook off a bogey on Friday to make five birdies after 14 holes, tying for seventh place.

Olympic gold medalist Lydia Ko tied for first place with Haeran Ryu at 10 under par. Ko is 5 under par after 14 holes on Friday after making three pars and two birdies in a row on the back nine.

Haeran Ryu really stepped on the gas on Friday and secured sole top spot on the leaderboard with an eagle on the par 5 11th hole. On Friday she is 7 under par after 11 holes.

Amy Yang will try to make the cut when she tees off alongside Ashleigh Buhai and Georgia Hall this afternoon. Yang was 2 over par in the first round after making a double bogey on the ninth hole and just two birdies (plus two bogeys) on the back nine. Yang has made 10 of 16 cuts this season and won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in June.

Hall, one of 11 Solheim Cup participants in Maineville this week, was even in the first round with two birdies and two bogeys.

Following the Kroger Queen City Championship, the LPGA is in Rogers, Arkansas, next week for the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G. The tour then travels to China for the Buick LPGA Shanghai Oct. 10-13. Click here to see the rest of the schedule.

Lexi Thompson, who will retire from full-time play on the LPGA Tour after this year, was 1 under par after the first round. Thompson has struggled so far in the second round, with four bogeys in the first 9 holes. She is currently 2 over par and has a projected cut line of 1 under par.

At 8 strokes under par, there is now a five-way tie for first place as Kristen Gillman has taken over the top spot. The 26-year-old is 5 strokes under par after eight holes today with three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 No. 8.

Haeran Ryu has given it her all in Cincinnati so far. Ryu had three bogeys on her first five holes in the first round on Thursday, but finished the afternoon strong with 3 under par and four birdies on the back nine. The 23-year-old played five holes in a row on Friday and a total of six birdies on the front nine, putting her in joint first place.

Annabelle Pancake, a former Clemson player and Indiana native who qualified on Monday, shot 2-under in her LPGA debut on Thursday. She will try to make the cut on Friday when she tees off at 2:26 p.m.

Ashleigh Buhai, who is the clubhouse leader after the first round at 7 under par, will tee off at 1:42 p.m. along with Amy Yang and Georgia Hall.

World number three Lydia Ko, who plays alongside Charley Hull and Rose Zhang, secured joint top spot with 8 under par after an eagle on the par 5 8th hole.

The predicted cut line is currently 1 under par.

Jeeno Thitikul, who finished the first round in second place at 6 strokes under par, will tee off at 1:20 p.m. on No. 10. In her group are world number one Nelly Korda, who shot 5 strokes under par in the first round without a bogey, and reigning Kroger Queen City Championship winner Minjee Lee.

A costly bogey on the eighth hole left Charley Hull at just 2 under par in the first round. Hull has avoided costly bogeys so far on Friday with four consecutive pars and two consecutive birdies. Her chance for a third consecutive birdie failed on the par-3 seventh hole. She is 4 under par for the tournament.

Jasmine Suwannapura was one of eight golfers at 5 under par (67) on Thursday and she will be looking to pull away from the rest in the second round. The 31-year-old birdied three of her first five holes and is now at 8 under par.

Gaby Lopez finished Thursday at 4 under par and has now moved to the top of the leaderboard with four birdies in her first eight holes on Friday. She is the new leader at 8 under par.
