MAGA pundit banned from CNN, behind-the-scenes posts tell all

Conservative pundit Ryan Girdusky on Tuesday released a behind-the-scenes look at his now-infamous Monday night appearance on CNN in which he suggested that a Muslim guest on the network was a supporter of the terrorist group Hezbollah — which apparently got him banned from the network's airwaves. He claimed that Mehdi Hasan, the co-panellist to whom he directed the offensive remark, stormed off the set after the incident, after which host Abby Phillip asked him to leave the set as well. Girdusky also complained in a paid Substack post about “double standards” at the network, where “liberal guests could get away with almost anything they wanted.” Girdusky, who previously worked at JD Vance SuperPAC, wrote: “I never aspired to be someone on television. I just don't care. People always talk about a brand and I think this is mine; I really don't give a shit. He then claimed loudly Daily Mailthat “no one will remember his obvious 'joke,'” and lashed out at CNN. “That’s how the news media works; It tries to incite outrage, fear and unrest in its dwindling audience in order to keep the lights on. “I was just another chink in the chain of the outrage machine,” he wrote. “So if you ever get canceled by a cable news channel, remember that everyone forgets about it after a few days. It's not as important as telling the truth and occasionally…”joke.”
