Megyn Kelly will speak at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania

Conservative media personality Megyn Kelly plans to attend former President Trump's rally in Pittsburgh the night before the election and speak on his behalf.

Kelly said she “never expected” she would be invited to run for Trump, telling her audience in a short clip on social media that she would explain “to this audience and beyond” during Monday night's event “Why I think it's absolutely important that he wins the election.”

“I have all sorts of reasons that won’t surprise people who listen to this show,” she said.

Kelly is the second leading conservative media pundit and former Fox News host to join Trump in the campaign.

The former president sat for fireside chats and moderated campaign events with commentator Tucker Carlson, who has spoken on Trump's behalf and had the former president with him on a speaking tour this year.

Kelly and Trump have a complicated relationship that goes back years.

In 2015, when Kelly was still at Fox, she famously harassed him during a GOP primary debate about his comments about women. Trump later attacked Kelly, saying she had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” during the episode.

Kelly has since said that she and Trump have repaired their relationship, and today she is using her popular podcast and online commentary show to promote the former president and his allies.

Last week, she complained about Trump's controversial rally at Madison Square Garden, which she called too “brutal” and warned it could hurt Trump with female voters.
