Monday Night Football live updates: Lions hold off Seahawks as Titans pick up first win of the season

It took a perfect performance from Jared Goff, who even caught a touchdown pass himself, but the Detroit Lions held off Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.

The Lions pulled ahead late, earning a 42-29 victory over the Seahawks at Ford Field in the second of two Monday Night Football games to close out the week. This was Seattle's first loss of the year.

Goff was perfect in this extremely entertaining duel. He completed 18 of 18 for 292 yards and two touchdowns. In the second half, he threw a 70-yard touchdown to Jameson Williams and himself caught a 7-yard pass from Amon-Ra St. Brown for a score.

Smith also had a great evening. He threw for 395 yards and a touchdown in the loss for Seattle. DK Metcalf also had 104 yards on seven catches.

In the first game of the evening, it was Mason Rudolph – not Will Levis – who led the Tennessee Titans to their first win of the season. The Titans earned a commanding 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins in South Florida, moving them to 1-3 on the year. Rudolph replaced Levis early in the first quarter after he was injured, and he carried the team the rest of the way. He finished the game 9 of 17 for 85 yards. Tony Pollard ran 88 yards and a score to seal the win late in the fourth quarter.

The Dolphins used third-string quarterback Tyler Huntley as both Tua Tagovailoa and Skylar Thompson are dealing with various injuries. Huntley finished 12 of 20 for 81 yards.
