Two New York Yankees fans blatantly bothered Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts as he attempted to throw a fly ball in the first inning of the Bronx Bombers' 11-4 win on Tuesday, even going so far as to throw the ball to pull out of his glove.

After the game, Betts seemed uninterested in discussing the incident and did not feel it had any impact on the game.

“When it comes to the game in the first inning, it doesn’t matter,” he said. “We lost. That is irrelevant. I'm fine, he's fine, everything's cool. We lost the game and that’s kind of what I’m focused on. We need to turn the page and prepare for tomorrow.”

“I’ve never seen anything like this,” Dodgers rookie pitcher Ben Casparius said told reporters about the situation after the game. “It's pretty interesting. It was obviously very early in the game, so I think it kind of set the tone.”

Despite the loss, the Dodgers still hold a 3-1 lead in the series. Game 5 is back at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, with first pitch scheduled for 8:08 p.m. ET (Fox). Jack Flaherty is expected to face Gerrit Cole in a rematch of Game 1 starters.
