Most will stay dry until next weekend; However, some may experience some rain: The Alabama Weather Blog

SUNDAY: A cold front will begin to move into northern Alabama today, bringing slightly cooler temperatures. We could see a few isolated, light showers in northern counties, although most of central Alabama will remain dry. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-70s to mid-80s.

THE COMING WORKING WEEK: Looking ahead to next week, high pressure will move in from the north and form a wedge pattern over the region by Monday. This will result in mostly sunny skies and pleasant temperatures, with highs in the mid-70s to lower 80s across the state. Conditions will remain pleasant into Tuesday, with persistent sunshine and high temperatures in the mid-70s to lower 80s. By Wednesday, a ridge will form over the southeast, bringing with it a slight southeasterly flow. This will result in a moderate warming trend with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

As we approach Thursday, a cold front will advance from the west and northwest, pulling in warmer and wetter air from the south. However, the ridge should remain stable and keep conditions mostly dry. Highs will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s. The cold front will continue to interact with the ridge through Friday, but the chance of rain remains low. Northern parts of the state may see isolated showers, but most of Alabama will remain dry, with high temperatures in the lower 70s to lower 80s.

NEXT WEEKEND: The ridge will continue to suppress significant rain chances throughout the weekend. Partly cloudy skies are expected Saturday, with high temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Temperatures will cool slightly through Sunday, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the mid 70s to lower 80s across central Alabama.

THE TROPICS: Turning now to the tropics, we have some good news: No tropical cyclone development is expected over the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico next week. Therefore, there are currently no concerns.
