The New York mother who intentionally jumped to her death into Niagara Falls with her young children threw her children over the railing first, according to a report.

According to the Niagara Gazette, state park police said Thursday that they had reviewed security footage from Luna Park, a small area near the falls, and could confirm the sequence of events surrounding the fatal crash.

Roman Rossman, 9, was the first in the family to go into the water, followed by five-month-old Mecca Means — and then her mother, Chianti Means, 33, went, state police said at a news conference, according to the Gazette.

Asked if the mother preyed on her children, state police public information officer James O'Callaghan said, “No, we believe it was intentional.”

“I won't go into detail about what the witnesses saw because it's still an active case, but it's alarming what they told us,” O'Callaghan said at the news conference, the Niagara Gazette reports.

State and Park Police officers were called to Goat Island at 9:30 p.m. Monday after witnesses called to report seeing a woman walking over the falls with her children.
