NFL Season 2024: Seahawks vs. Rams Game Thread, 4th Quarter

The Seattle Seahawks were owned by the Los Angeles Rams under Sean McVay. Since becoming head coach of the Rams in 2017, McVay has a 10-5 record, with two of those losses coming to John Wolford and Baker Mayfield at quarterback. The Rams didn't trail by more than 13 points in any of those games and generally had their way with Seattle's defense.

On paper, this looks like a mismatch. The Rams are getting healthier and better than their 3-4 record suggests. Seattle's defense appears to be out of shape and the offense is extremely limited in terms of explosiveness without DK Metcalf. The running game is barely there. But maybe, just maybe, the Seahawks will show us something closer to the Atlanta Falcons game and pull off an upset. They'll need the win or else they'll be in last place in the NFC West entering the bye week. If they win, they may be in first place depending on what happens with the Arizona Cardinals against the Chicago Bears.
