Iowa State welcomes Indiana State to Hilton Coliseum on Thursday night after its 30th straight season-opening win. The midweek matchup marks the first meeting between the Cyclones and Sycamores.

WITHIN THE SERIES
The Cyclones and Sycamores meet for the first time in the series' history. It is the first of two new opponents Iowa State will face this season. ISU will also play Middle Tennessee for the first time in the Fort Myers Tip-Off on Thanksgiving weekend.

FOUR THINGS
2 – Iowa State had two players named to the Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Watchlist earlier this week. Audi crooks And Emily Ryan were two of 50 college basketball players placed on the watch list. It is the second time Ryan has been included in the top 50 list and the first time Crooks has been added.

10 – ISU hit 10 3-pointers against Chicago State on Monday. It marks the 285thTh Since the nation's longest 3-point streak began in 1995, Iowa State has made 10 or more triples.

Iowa State won its 30th straight season opener on Monday, defeating Chicago State 96-56. The Cyclones took a 29-3 lead after the first quarter, shooting nearly 59 percent from the floor and over 62 percent from 3-point range. In November 2023, Iowa State signed Aili Tanke And Reagan Wilson as part of the 2024 recruiting class. Tanke won the State Farm National Girl's Shootout, hitting 25 3-pointers in the final round of the competition in Phoenix and taking home the trophy. In her collegiate debut, Tanke finished 3 of 4 from long range with 12 points.

After the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, Fennelly and his staff signed four transfers, three of which increase the perimeter threat. Kenzie Hare comes to Iowa State ranked 13th nationally in both 3-point shots made and 3-point percentage last season. Lily Hansford Last season at Oregon State, he shot over 45 percent from distance.
