Oregon State and BYU agree to a two-game non-conference football series

Oregon State and Brigham Young added a home-and-home football series to their future schedules on Wednesday.

The Beavers travel to Provo, Utah to play BYU in a game on September 25, 2027. The second leg in Corvallis will take place on September 9, 2028.

Oregon State now has four games scheduled in 2027 (Portland State, New Mexico, Mississippi, BYU) and two in 2028 (New Mexico, BYU).

The Beavers and Cougars haven't played since 2012, when OSU won 42-24 in Provo. Oregon State leads the series 6-5. The teams played in a bowl game once.

In early September, Oregon State and Wake Forest agreed to a two-game series in 2025 and 2029.

The Beavers have five openers remaining on their 2025 schedule, all non-conference games. Oregon State will return to playing a Pac-12 schedule starting in 2026.

Here is Oregon State's future schedule for non-conference play through 2031:

2025: California (August 30), Fresno State (September 6), Texas Tech (September 13), Oregon (September 20), Houston (September 27), Wake Forest (date to be announced), Washington State (Date to be announced).

2026: at Houston (September 5th), Texas Tech (September 12th), x-at San Diego State (September 19th).

2027: Portland State (September 4th), New Mexico (September 11th), at Mississippi (September 18th), at Brigham Young (September 25th).

2028: Brigham Young (September 9th), in New Mexico (September 23rd).

2029: San Jose State (Sept. 8), at Wake Forest (date to be announced).

2030: Mississippi (August 31), San Jose State (September 7), Kansas State (September 14).

2031: Kansas State (September 13).
