Packers QB Jordan Love will reportedly be active for the Week 4 game against the Vikings

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jordan Love will reportedly be active for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday for their Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Love has missed the last two games after suffering an MCL sprain in his left knee in Brazil's Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.

The original timeline for Love's return was set at three to six weeks, but his progress has allowed him to return soon and he will reportedly wear a knee brace for additional protection.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said before Week 2 that they would not clear Love to return until he felt he could protect himself from another knee injury. “He has to be confident enough to go out there and do that,” he said.

Love has practiced on a limited basis over the past two weeks and did pre-game warmups in Week 3 before being ruled out for the win over the Tennessee Titans. While what he showed the coaching staff was “encouraging,” according to LaFleur, they would be careful not to push him back. On Thursday, LaFleur told reporters that Love would be a game-time decision.

The Packers won both games without Love and enter Week 4 with a 2-1 record. Backup quarterback Malik Willis was excellent in taking over the starting job, throwing for 324 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions while shooting 73.5%. of his passports completed.

Willis came to the Packers in a trade from the Titans in late August. He played two seasons for Tennessee as a backup and occasional injury replacement after the Titans selected him with a third-round draft pick in 2022 to back up Ryan Tannehill.
