Pittsburgh Steelers fans recruit Jets wide receivers after stunning win

Pittsburgh Steelers fans at Acrisure Stadium tried to recruit New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams to the team after Sunday's 37-15 win. According to Jenna Harner of WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, who was on the sidelines, fans shouted for Williams that he would be wearing a Steelers jersey next week.

After the Jets acquired Davante Adams, Williams was added to the trading block and New York wants to trade him. The Steelers are among those teams, but the two teams agreed to postpone any discussions until after Sunday's game. Since the Steelers won, those talks will likely resume as the team looks to add another wide receiver.

Williams, 30, is also interested in the Los Angeles Chargers and New Orleans Saints. Pittsburgh attempted to sign Williams this offseason and scheduled a visit with him before he decided to sign with the Jets.

Williams suffered a torn ACL last season and could still be trying to shake off the cobwebs after missing the entire summer program. He only had 15 receiving yards in that game and on the season Williams only had 160 receiving yards.

The Steelers have been looking for another wide receiver alongside George Pickens, who rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on Monday. Williams would give the team another jump-ball receiver who fits well with Pickens and what quarterback Russell Wilson does well.
