QUICK CONCLUSIONS

BLUES The St. Louis Blues (7-6-0) will look to extend their two-game winning streak when they face the Utah Hockey Club for the first time in franchise history on Thursday.

With Tuesday's 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning, goalie Jordan Binnington moved into second place all-time on the franchise list with 149 wins, surpassing former teammate Jake Allen. With three more wins, Binnington will be the franchise's winningest goaltender (152).

Forwards Oskar Sundqvist and Alexey Toropchenko scored their first goals of the season on Tuesday and helped on offense. Jordan Kyrou scored his fourth goal of the season – and the game-winning goal – marking the 17th game-winning goal of his career.

“We just have to get wins now and become good goalkeepers, and we are,” Schenn said. “Everyone is on the rise at the moment and everyone is filling the gap every night and if we keep it up and then get the guys back, we’ll be well on our way.”

The Blues are 2-0 at home so far, with Thursday's game against Utah and the duels against the Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins still to come.

UTAH HC The Utah Hockey Club (5-5-3) suffered its second straight loss, falling 3-0 to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night. Utah has lost its last five road games (0-3-2) prior to Thursday's game in St. Louis.

Utah is in its first season in the NHL after Ryan Smith purchased and relocated the Arizona Coyotes franchise in April. Coyotes players, draft picks and coaching staff all moved to the team's new home in Salt Lake City under Smith, who also owns the NBA's Utah Jazz.

The club caused a stir in its first offseason when it acquired two-time Stanley Cup winner Mikhail Sergachev from the Tampa Bay Lightning in a trade. Additionally, former Blues defenseman Robert Bortuzzo has signed with Utah and brings experienced leadership skills.

Bortuzzo will be back in St. Louis for the first time since joining last season. Bortuzzo is part of the Blues' 2019 Stanley Cup championship team and will be honored with a tribute video during Thursday's game.
