Ramaswamy claims that young Americans are turning to Trump

Vivek Ramaswamy, former United States presidential candidate and staunch supporter of Donald Trump, has claimed that the Republican candidate's campaign in the 2024 US election is among demographics that have traditionally leaned towards the Democratic Party, including black voters, Hispanics and Generation Z. has gained traction.

Ramaswamy noted that Generation Z voters are primarily motivated by a desire to avoid foreign conflicts and prevent a possible “third world war.” He highlighted their concerns about the economy and rising housing costs as critical issues influencing their policy decisions. “If I had to boil it down to two problems: One is the concern that if there is a war abroad – God forbid – involving the United States, it will fall on the shoulders of Generation Z,” Ramaswamy explained.

He further added: “Combine that with the rising costs. What we have seen in recent years – and this is a hard fact – is that prices have gone up and wages have not kept up.”

Asked whether Trump should concede if he loses the November 5 election, Ramaswamy stressed the importance of respecting the electoral process. “Whoever wins the election should win the election, and whoever loses should concede,” he said.

However, he also claimed that the 2020 election was undermined by the current Democratic Party nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Democrats, indicating ongoing concerns about election integrity.

LEADERSHIP recalls that in February 2023, Ramaswamy expressed his desire for the Republican Party nomination for the 2024 US presidential election. He suspended his campaign on January 20 after finishing fourth in the Iowa caucuses.
