The walk of shame for the Cincinnati Bengals after their surprising prime-time home loss to the Washington Commanders was a bit strange.

Usually the players just go back to the locker room and that's it.

But on Monday night, reporters noticed something strange: Joe Burrow and Zac Taylor went to the back and not to the locker room, but to the coaches' offices.

In his post-game press conference, Burrow said the duo simply went there to have a positive, private conversation. Still, it was odd enough that it was recorded and then told to the people involved.

And it sounds a little stranger than normal, considering Burrow just threw three points and the offense didn't punt when the score reached 33… only for the defense to have to let a rookie quarterback score 38 points without the visitors punting.

With a current record of 0-3 and historically breathtaking, terrible chances of making the playoffs, the whole thing was interesting to say the least.
