In a press release, The Lincoln Project emphasized its goal of reaching voters who supported Biden but are hesitant to vote for Kamala Harris. Through Elliott's voiceover, the ad conveys that there is too much at stake in the upcoming election for personal bias to cloud an informed decision.

“What the hell are you waiting for?” Elliott said in the ad. “When it comes to the women thing, it's time to get over it. It's time for hope, for change. It's time to be a man and vote for a woman.”

“I can't believe we're having this conversation again,” he added. “So here we go.”

Elliott urged voters to focus their support on Kamala Harris rather than returning to the Trump era, his message suggesting that it is best for the country to look forward rather than back.

“They know what's at stake,” the actor said in the ad. “One candidate promises a divided America full of lies and hate. And one stands for change.”

As black-and-white photos of Trump emerge, Elliott is heard saying, “Kamala Harris has more courage, more honor, more guts than this guy ever had.”

The 80-year-old actor, known for his down-to-earth manner in Westerns and other film and television roles, urged voters to recognize the “courage” of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris while staying away from the “lies and hate” associated with Donald Trump.

At the end of the commercial, the “Road House” actor told viewers, “You decide, are we really going back down the same damn broken path? Or are we moving forward?”

Elliott ran a similar ad for President Joe Biden a few years ago.
