Rodrygo reveals Real Madrid's goal for the end of the season: A whole season without defeat

Following Real Madrid's convincing 4-1 win over Espanyol, Rodrygo expressed his desire for the team to remain unbeaten throughout the season.

“It's harder than it seems. There are a lot of games, but we want a lot more and to go through the whole season without defeat. We'll try.” said the striker after the game, as Mundu Deportivo reported.

Looking back on the match, the Brazilian striker stressed that although Real Madrid had achieved a solid victory, the team still faces some internal challenges, especially in terms of the way they handle the first half of matches.

He said Carlo Ancelotti was “a little angry” with their performance in the first half, as they were only able to score another goal in the second half.

However, Rodrygo acknowledged the team's ability to recover and push for a strong finish, turning the game around at the Santiago Bernabeu and securing a convincing win.

“Winning with this jersey is always very important and our goal. It was a difficult game.”

“The coach is a bit angry with us because we only score goals in the second half. Today we conceded a goal, but were calm enough to score one.” he added.

Rodrygo admitted that it was not an easy game, especially after conceding the goal, but the team remained calm and was able to fight back and secure the win.

Rodrygo, who scored the second goal to turn Real Madrid around, was pleased with his personal performance and thanked fellow Brazilian Vinicius Jr. for providing the pass that set him up.

“I feel very good. The season is just beginning and on a personal level I am doing well physically and mentally, which is more important. I am always ready to help the team.”

“We have a great atmosphere, there is a lot of respect between everyone who has the same goal and is focused. Vini's pass was spectacular, as was Luka Modric's. He is getting better and better at this pass and I thank him for his pass.” he noted.

Finally, the striker spoke about the unity within the team and emphasized the mutual respect among all players who are driven by the same goals.

The team's winning streak in La Liga now extends to 38 games and Rodrygo expressed the team's ambition to maintain this streak for the rest of the season.
