Ryan Williams “like a simulation,” his Alabama teammate says of the surreal WR

Ryan Williams continues to get better with every game he plays in college football.

His final performance was a six-catch, 177-yard day capped by a touchdown as No. 4 Alabama won the game against No. 1/2 Georgia 41-34 on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

To say the true freshman has impressed his teammates is an understatement.

“The kid is… it's like a simulation watching him play,” tight end CJ Dippre said. “He's great. He can take it, if he had problems he could take my zero money. I'll give it to him. He can have everything from me.”

If you keep this up, Williams probably won't need Dippre's help at NIL. But it was still a nice gesture, a sentence Dippre said with a smile.

Williams definitely deserves all the praise given his heroics when it looked like Georgia (3-1, 1-1 SEC) might steal the win from the Crimson Tide (4-0, 1-0).

The Bulldogs took the lead with 2:31 left on a 67-yard touchdown pass from Carson Beck to Dillon Bell. That was Georgia's first lead of the day.

Then, on the next offensive play, Williams answered.

He scored a 75-yard score, which was enough for the Crimson Tide to win.

Williams has caught 16 passes for 462 yards (28.88 yards per catch) and five touchdowns in four games.

Considering he should be a senior in high school, it's fair to say Williams feels like he's playing in a simulation.

“It always feels like a video game, the opportunity to play on that stage with my boys,” Williams said. “You work so hard together. That’s the fun part.”
