In the late 90s and early 2000s he portrayed Victor Collins, the father of Dr. Kevin Collins (played by Jon Lindstrom), on “General Hospital” and its spin-off “Port Charles.”

He also played another of his most famous television roles in the 1990s, when he played the chancellor of the fictional California University in “Beverly Hills, 90120”.

Pryor is survived by his wife Christina Belford, his daughter Stacey Pryor and grandchildren Auguste and Avril Bas.

“He starred on #Broadway and did great work in film and television for over 60 years. But to me he was my friend. One of the best I’ve ever had,” Lindstrom continued. “He was a mentor, a sounding board, a trusted confidant and even a father figure, yes, he played my own father on #GH and #PortCharles. And he was one of the funniest people you could hope to spend time with over a bottle of good wine and a great meal.

“I will miss him terribly, as will his beautiful wife Christina, his daughter Stacey and his two grandchildren Gus and Avril. RIP”
