Terence Crawford did not hesitate to give his final verdict between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul

Terence Crawford has given his opinion on the showdown between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

Tyson will face Paul on Friday, November 15th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The game will be broadcast live on the streaming service Netflix.

Many boxing greats have spoken out about the controversial fight and pound-for-pound king Crawford has revealed his stance.

It started when Crawford was asked by Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour if he wanted to see the fight.

“NO. I don't.”

He then explained why he wasn't looking forward to the upcoming fight.

“I think Mike Tyson is an icon in boxing. He has done a lot for boxing himself. And I just think Mike is past his prime.

“Mike is old. I don't want Mike to go into the ring and get injured in a fight where he's just doing it for the money or the entertainment. I just think his health issues are another reason why I don’t want to see him in the ring anymore.”

Crawford's view may well prove correct, especially after the fight was postponed from its original July date because Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up following a medical incident on a flight.

However, “Iron Mike” has done his best to prove the doubters wrong. Recent training footage shows him dropping a sparring partner and damaging his trainer's lip.

Another man who has given his latest thoughts on the Tyson vs. Paul fight is Oscar De La Hoya, and he has made a defiant prediction.
