The Penguins reveal their lineup for the second preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings

The postponement of Saturday's preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings to Monday means the team's second preseason game against the Red Wings on Tuesday completes a back-to-back series of games.

Three games in three days is not ideal for any team, but such is life for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Both teams traveled from Detroit to Pittsburgh for Tuesday's contest. The puck drops at 7 p.m. and those interested can watch the game locally on SportsNet Pittsburgh. Fans can also tune in to 105.9 The X for radio coverage.

Below is the Penguins' projected lineup for Tuesday night's game.

Overall, it's a good mix of NHL regulars, promising young players and AHL-bound players. After that game against the Red Wings, the Penguins have two preseason contests left – a back-to-back set against the Columbus Blue Jackets on October 3rd and 4th – before finalizing their roster before the regular season opener against the New York Rangers on October 9th .October.

Welcome to October, Penguins fans.
