The Sharks rallied late from a 3-down deficit to defeat the Utah Hockey Club in OT for their first win

Granlund had a goal and two assists, Fabian Zetterlund had two goals and Jake Walman had three assists for the Sharks (1-7-2), who picked up their first win under coach Ryan Warsofsky. Mackenzie Blackwood made 19 saves.

“The players deserve a lot of credit, they persevered,” said Warsofsky. “There were times when we did some really, really good things and we just didn't get any reward for it. But we stuck with it, we just kept playing and that will be our attitude. We will never give up.”

Matias Maccelli scored his first two goals of the season and Ian Cole and Vladislav Kolyachonok each had two assists for Utah (4-4-2), which has lost four straight and is 1-4-2 after a 3-0-0 start. Ingram made 40 saves.

“That’s not who we are and that’s not who we want to be,” Utah coach Andre Tourigny said. “They have such a lead, that's not the way we want to play. We don’t want to be that.”

Zetterlund scored his second goal of the game to bring San Jose within 4-2 at 15:28 of the third period. After using the extra fielder, Blackwood ran to the net on a faceoff win and deflected Granlund's shot from the left point.

“I want more. I want to hold onto the puck, be physical and put the puck in the net as often as possible,” Zetterlund said. “I think I did even better today and it was a great game.”
