The Strawberry Letter: I Thought He Wouldn't Come Back | V103

Dear Steve and Shirley,

I have been married for nine years, but I have known my husband most of my life. We are in our early thirties and don't have any children yet. My husband and I go out with our friends regularly, but we rarely spend time together during football and basketball season. Last weekend, he and his friends planned a trip to tailgate and hang out at the Magic City Classic. They rented an RV and hit the road early Friday.

I had planned a bachelorette weekend for my sorority sister with all the trimmings – including male strippers. The plan to host it at another girl's house fell through, so I decided to host it at my house. We fenced in our garage, which my husband uses as a man cave, so there was plenty of room.

It was Saturday at 6pm and the strippers arrived at my house before the other ladies. They hung out with me in the kitchen until the party started. My husband called and told me he wasn't feeling well but was trying to hang in there. At this point I should have told him what I was doing at home in case he came back early. He was only an hour away, so I was taking a big risk.

Well, four hours later my husband called and said he was being dropped off at home. He asked why there were so many cars in front of the house. I panicked and lied and said I agreed to host the party at the last minute. He arrived just as the bride-to-be was getting a rather raunchy lap dance from a stripper.

My husband hasn't spoken to me in days. He's mad because I had naked men in his man cave and lied about the party. He says I deliberately hid everything from him and that's a big problem. Is he blowing it so disproportionately?
