Tulsi Gabbard criticizes Harris for refusing to own up to his past in Fox interview | USA and world

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard responded to Kamala Harris dodging a question about her LGBT policies toward prison inmates and illegal immigrants.

Harris is less than three weeks away from facing off against former President Donald Trump on Election Day. After her debate against Trump in September, Harris changed course in her media strategy and began appearing on many shows, most recently Fox News, where she spent her final three years in office.

Host Brett Baier asked Harris about her stance on transgender surgeries performed on prison inmates and illegal immigrants. Gabbard blamed Harris for not committing to her past policies and instead avoiding the question.

“It's one of the many examples of Kamala Harris lying to the American people and assuming that we are stupid enough to simply believe her lies,” Gabbard said on Fox News' “Fox & Friends.” “We saw the snippets in the clips of her advocating and patting herself on the back for the legislative changes she brought about that would do exactly that, that would ensure U.S. taxpayers support transgender surgeries would pay.” She campaigned to ensure that illegal immigrants also come across our border.

According to Gabbard, this is a campaign tactic Harris is using to win the presidency. As vice president, Harris often supported the LGBT community; She was the first in her office to invite a drag queen to her home. Harris then appeared on the reality competition show RuPaul's Drag Race.

“She refuses to take responsibility and commit to her positions. If their views have changed, that's okay, people can change,” Gabbard continued. “But the American people deserve enough respect to know exactly why she changed. In this interview with Bret, there are a number of examples of her lying about her previous positions to try to create this new version of herself that she thinks will be more palatable to voters, and it's insulting in my opinion. “

Gabbard supported Trump earlier this election cycle. Gabbard was a Democratic politician when she was in office, but has since left the party, citing extreme “wokeness.”

Now Trump is teasing that Gabbard will join his Cabinet in some capacity. The former representative said she would be prepared to serve the administration if Trump wins in November.
