Tyler Badie was carted to the locker room injured

After a fumble in the first quarter against the New York Jets on Sunday, Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie lay down on the sideline and was later loaded into a cart and taken to the locker room.

The team later announced that it was questionable whether Badie would return to the game due to a back injury.

Badie was hit in the back during a catch by Jets linebacker Quincy Williams late in the first quarter. Badie fumbled the ball after the hit and New York recovered.

Broncos rookie running back Blake Watson is inactive today and fellow rookie Audric Estime is on injured reserve, leaving Denver with only Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin after Badie's injury.

Elsewhere on the injury front, Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims returned to the game after being evaluated for a rib injury after taking an illegal hit after calling for a fair catch on a punt return.
