US presidential election 2024: Vivek Ramaswamy's pitch for gays and immigrants at Donald Trump's election rally last week

The US election is just days away and polls are predicting a tight battle between candidates who will fight for every vote to secure a seat in the White House.

Former President Donald Trump is living up to the expectations of the Republican Party, and Vice President Kamala Harris is doing the same for the Democrats. Both candidates also depend on their allies to comply with their wishes.

In this regard, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who himself once ran for president, has pledged his unrelenting support to Trump. If there was ever any doubt, his recent post on social media platform X, a platform owned by Elon Musk, another ardent Trump supporter, will prove his doubters wrong.

The former candidate posted an excerpt from a speech he gave at a Trump rally at Madison Square Garden, urging supporters to unite and vote for change in Trump.

Ramaswamy posted the clip on X along with a long caption summarizing his views on certain issues.

“To gay Americans,” he wrote. “You are free to marry whoever you want (if you want) without the government standing in your way. But that doesn’t mean men should compete with women in sports.”

He continued: “To Black Americans: The media has spent decades trying to convince you that Republicans don’t care about your communities. We want for you what we want for every American: safe neighborhoods, clean streets, good jobs, a better life for your children, and a justice system that treats everyone equally – regardless of the color of your skin or your political beliefs.”

The former presidential candidate then addressed illegal immigrants: “To every *legal* immigrant: You are like my parents. You deserve the chance to give your children a better life in America. But our message to illegal immigrants is also: We will return you to your country of origin, not because you are all bad people, but because you have broken the law.”

And then he ended his caption by addressing Generation Z: “To Generation Z: You will be the generation that actually saves our country.” You want to stand up to the man? Try calling yourself a conservative. Suppose you want to get married, have children and teach them to swear allegiance to our country.”

The biotech entrepreneur also mentioned Trump, painting the former president in the color of a unifying leader. “Donald Trump is indeed the president who will unite this country,” Ramaswamy said, further adding that “the America First policy includes all Americans, regardless of their race, gender or sexual orientation.”
