No. 11 Texas A&M Football hits the road to face South Carolina in another prime-time SEC showdown.

The Aggies (7-1, 5-0) enter the race as their seventh straight matchup winner and sit alone atop the SEC as the only undefeated team in the conference. The Gamecocks (4-3, 2-3) beat Oklahoma on Oct. 19 before receiving a bye last week.

Marcel Reed will start at center for the Aggies.

A&M coach Mike Elko was quiet about the position after Reed, the backup quarterback, had a standout second-half performance last week that gave the Aggies a win over the LSU Tigers. Now the Aggies turn their attention to a Gamecocks team that has played better than its record suggests, losing to Alabama and LSU by a combined five points.

The Aggies are hoping to avoid any slip-ups as they are ahead in the conference title game. The Gamecocks faithful will be running at full speed in a house that hosted a November upset against Tennessee a few years ago that ended the Volunteers' College Football Playoff hopes.

After a fumble forced by cornerback Will Lee III and recovered by defensive back BJ Mayes, the Aggies' offense gained some momentum before stalling and settling for another field goal from Bond. This time he was good from 55 yards and cut the lead to 14-6.

Faced with another fourth-and-short situation, A&M opts to add points rather than risk another turnover on losses. Kicker Randy Bond's attempt is good from 52 yards and shrinks the lead to 14:3.

The Aggies followed the Gamecocks' first possession with an aggressive four-down call on their own side of the field. They failed to get South Carolina to A&M's 34-yard line. It took the Gamecocks two plays to score again, this time from 15 yards out to Joshua Simon, who extended the lead to 14-0.

The Aggies won the toss and elected to defer, setting up the Gamecocks with their first offensive drive of the night. South Carolina took the ball and cashed in with an 11-play, 75-yard drive capped by a 23-yard touchdown run by quarterback LaNorris Sellers to take an early 7-0 lead.

First up is Marcel Reed

There was a lot of debate throughout the week as to whether Conner Weigman or Marcel Reed would start this week. As the Aggies' offense prepares to take on the Gamecocks, Reed gets the nod under center.

Texas A&M vs. South Carolina predictions

Tony Catalina: Texas A&M 24, South Carolina 14. This looks to be another tough test for the Aggies, as the Gamecocks are great at stopping the things A&M does well. There's a hostile atmosphere at Williams-Brice Stadium and, for a prime-time game, the crowd will undoubtedly be at the top of their lungs. Texas A&M has to weather the storm, but it has the ability to do so and enters its second bye week still undefeated in the SEC.

Cedric Golden: Texas A&M 24, South Carolina 20. The Aggies took a lead against LSU with the use of backup QB Marcell Reed, but the Gamecocks are easily one of the most dangerous home opponents in the SEC. Just like last week, the Aggie defense managed to get some turnovers in time in the second half to secure the win.
