After early morning cloudy conditions around Colorado Springs, Monday will turn sunny for the remainder of the day.

“The low pressure system that brought us rain over the weekend is over the state, bringing snow to the northern ranges and showers to the plains,” said meteorologist Lauren Brand of Gazette news partner KOAA. “We will continue clearing until this afternoon.”

Brand said the coming week will look a little calmer, but cautioned that this also means warm and dry weather.

“The wind blows directly from west to east and when that happens we can see the air warming over the city,” she said. “Some fronts will move up, knocking us back into the upper 60s on Wednesday and Saturday.”

The average temperature for this time of year is 63 degrees, continuing the above average trend for the rest of the week.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 73. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 72. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the morning.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 76. West northwest wind around 10 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 68. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.
