When do Colorado and UCF play on September 28th?

When do Colorado and UCF play on September 28th?

With UCF Knights football having a free week this week, the big question is when the Knights' home game on September 28th will take place.

On Monday, the Big 12 announced its kickoff times for Week 5, and of the seven games, only one has a kickoff time. Arizona vs. Utah will kick off at 10:15 a.m. ET.

This is in part because the television networks want to wait and see how this week plays out and decide which games are the best, and then schedule those games in Week 5 based on how much excitement there is leading up to the next week of the college football season.

The three games we will be following are Utah vs. Oklahoma State, Kansas State vs. BYU and Baylor vs. Colorado. These results will influence which games will be broadcast where.

But what are the Big 12's available TV times on September 28? Matt Sarzyniak, who covers college football TV schedules and predicts college football's weekly TV schedules in advance, tweeted what he believes are some of the Big 12's TV times.

On July 22, I wrote about what time this highly anticipated matchup will air and whether FOX's Big Noon Kickoff pre-match coverage will be part of it:

One problem: The Big Ten has a TV contract that airs conference games on the same day but at different times on FOX, CBS and NBC. That typically means Big Ten games are at noon on FOX, 3:30 p.m. on CBS and 7:30 p.m. on NBC. The networks may swap times that could air this weekend, as the Big Ten also announced a six-day blackout.

There is only one Big Ten game that can be broadcast on FOX at noon, probably Minnesota vs. Michigan. Perhaps FOX will go to CBS and offer a slot swap, with the 3:30 p.m. Big Ten game being either Oregon vs. UCLA or Wisconsin vs. USC. If a swap goes through, the big Fox noon slot will be freed up for a Big 12 game, probably Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State or Colorado vs. UCF.

I believe the Knights-Buffaloes game will be on FOX at 4 p.m. (if Fox doesn't swap with CBS) or at noon on FOX, ABC or ESPN if Colorado beats Baylor and Utah beats Oklahoma State or BYU beats Kansas State. This scenario could bring Fox's Big Noon pregame show to UCF.
