Netflix has not confirmed a fourth season The Lincoln Lawyer. The streamer will likely wait to see how well the third season does before deciding to renew the show, just like it did with the third season after the release of the second season.

The series' showrunners, Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, recently spoke to TV Insider about what Mickey's next chapter might look like.

“We’re always kind of preparing for the next case of the season. “It won’t quite set up the next case, but it will definitely set up the next book,” Rodriguez said. Humphrey added: “I think we can say that this season will definitely take us into a fourth season in a very exciting and personal way.”

The good news is that the showrunners are optimistic about the future of the show. They expressed a desire to adapt all of the books in Michael Connelly's series, with Rodriguez teasing that they would “maybe even add more books” that could be added to the series.

Their plans also include “a sense of where we would go for a possible fifth and even sixth season after that,” Humphrey continued.

Regarding the shocking cliffhanger at the end of season three, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo told Today.com that Mickey has “great people who can help him” if he has to go to court.

“I think Lorna and him would be the perfect couple to defend him,” he said. He also mentioned Mickey's first wife, Maggie, and “Even Andy…I mean, he's got good people.”
