Samantha Irvin of New Bedford, the voice of “WWE Raw” on USA Network, announced on social media network X Monday afternoon that she will no longer be the ring announcer for the pro wrestling show.

“I love you all more than anything and this doesn’t mean the end of my art, I still have something to share for a lifetime,” Irvin wrote.

Irvin did not say why she left the program.

However, she thanked people across WWE, including the company's female roster, the behind-the-scenes crew at Raw, Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque and the stable of WWE wrestlers.

“There is no form of entertainment like this and not every entertainer can be a WWE Superstar,” she wrote. “You are the stars who idolize the stars. It’s not getting any bigger and I’m proud to have used my voice to share it with the world.”

How Samantha Irvin got her start in professional wrestling with WWE

Irvin, whose real name is Samantha Johnson, was born in Dennis but grew up in New Bedford. Her rise to fame began with her exceptional vocal cords, performing locally and making it as a semi-finalist on the 10th season of the TV show “America's Got Talent”.

Irvin also appeared on an episode of FOX's “I Can See Your Voice” where she showed off her impressive flute skills. She then took Las Vegas by storm, appearing in Cirque du Soleil and “Vegas! The Show” as legendary singer Tina Turner.

In 2021, she landed her dream job as WWE's newest ring announcer for “205Live” on Peacock. Irvin was a professional wrestling enthusiast, said in one Standard times Interview: “When I was young, I would watch every single episode of WWE content, record the matches in a notebook, and write my own commentary and descriptions of the action.”

Irvin also served as a ring announcer for WWE SmackDown and was added to WWE's Raw program in 2023.

In April, she received accolades for her work announcing WrestleMania 40, a two-day event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Legendary boxing, wrestling and football announcer Michael Buffer's post on was perfect!”

What will Samantha Irvin do next after leaving WWE? 'Stay tuned'

Irvin is engaged to professional wrestler Trevor Dean Mann, known as Ricochet, a former holder of multiple championship titles in the WWE.

In August, Ricochet joined rival pro wrestling organization All Elite Wrestling.

Irvin didn't say she would be joining her fiancé in AEW, but ended her message with a cryptic remark.

“To my fans, I've been waiting for you my whole career! We are meant to be and I can prove it. Stay tuned…”
